Who?

My name is Vikram Wright, I am a high school student based in Los Angeles, California. I consider myself an aesthetically driven person and my current interests include: tech, finance, design, food, and experiences. I play the baritone and alto saxophone in my jazz band and I have a cooking Instagram account where I am growing my audience. Over the years, my interests have drastically varied, from sneaker reselling to gene editing and everything in between. In 6th grade, I wanted to use CRISPR to create a gene that would fight off COVID-19 and other life-threatening diseases. The year after that, I participated in VEX Robotics, where we were semi-finalists in the state of California. This year, I have become interested in restauranteering, architecture + design, and options trading. These days, I am practicing my precalculus skills, raising funds, and managing social media for my high school FRC Robotics team, where I have raised $ 20,000 and garnered approximately 100,000 views. My favorite movie of all time is Goodfellas and if you couldn’t tell, my favorite color is vermillion!

Why?

As a young teen finding my own path in life, I created viksblog to learn from people across different fields and niches and share their insights. I believe everyone’s experience has unique value, and through interviews and reflections, I hope to make those lessons accessible to everyone and I do this by having a raw conversation with someone and writing what I infer from their responses to my questions. My goal with this blog is to build a database of wisdom that you can refer to, like a mentor that you can return to anytime you please. I am trying to do this while also documenting my own journey to success, whatever that may be!
